Wines from Château Méaume
Critically Acclaimed from Our Family Vineyard Since 1977
For nearly five decades, Château Méaume has been producing authentic Right Bank Bordeaux wines from our family vineyard in Maransin, just 15 minutes from Pomerol and 25 minutes from Saint Émilion.
Every bottle begins in the vineyards surrounding the château. The grapes are grown, harvested, vinified and aged on the estate before being carefully bottled and enjoyed around the world.
Our Merlot-led Bordeaux has received recognition from respected critics including The Wine Advocate, James Suckling, Neal Martin, Jeb Dunnuck and Le Guide Hachette des Vins, while remaining true to what matters most to us: producing honest Bordeaux wine that people genuinely enjoy drinking.
Whether you're discovering Château Méaume for the first time or returning for another vintage, you're buying directly from the family behind the wine.
Notre Terroir de Bordeaux
ASSEMBLAGE:
90% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon
SOL:
Argilo-calcaire
REGION:
Bordeaux , France
VIEILLISSEMENT:
Vieilli au moins 2 ans en cuve
DOMAINE:

The Méaume Taste Profile
ON THE NOSE:
Wild blueberries and baked cherries greet you first. As the wine opens, you'll discover hints of cedar and spice from oak aging.
ON THE PALATE:
The Merlot dominance brings velvety tannins and rich plum flavours. Cabernet Franc adds structure and a touch of herbaceousness, whilst Cabernet Sauvignon contributes backbone for aging. The finish is long, with dark fruit and gentle spice lingering pleasantly.
DRINKING WINDOWS:
Our wines are approachable young (2-3 years after vintage) but reward patience. Most vintages develop beautifully over 5-10 years, with the best vintages ageing gracefully for 15+ years.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS:
Decant for 30-60 minutes before serving. Ideal temperature: 16-18°C. Use a large Bordeaux glass to allow the wine to breathe and reveal its complexity.
Our Bordeaux red wine reveals layers of flavour that evolve beautifully with time.
